Somatic Mentorships for Teenagers
Supporting anxious, overwhelmed, or shut-down teens — through the body and creative expression
About your mentor
Hi, I'm Lizzy. I am a certified high school science teacher with 9 years' experience, and trained in somatic (body-based) and nervous system approaches to support emotional health.

DBS checked and fully insured, I’ve created a 3-month mentorship for teens — designed for those who don’t always respond to talk therapy or need a deeper way to feel safe, seen, and supported.
Why teens are struggling
-
Academic & social pressure
-
A world that feels unsafe — especially post-pandemic
-
Emotional suppression and perfectionism due to focus on results and performance
-
Excessive screen time and isolation
These are leading to anxiety, control behaviours, panic and overwhelm... which are often signs of a dysregulated nervous system.
What is the somatic approach?
Instead of focusing on “what’s wrong" in the mind.. we focus on what the body needs to feel safe.
-
Nervous system resets
-
Breathwork and intuitive movement
-
Creative emotional expression
-
Safe connection with a calm adult for coregulation
-
Healthy communication
Once the body calms, the mind follows.
Who is this for?
This is designed for...
-
Students who haven’t found the right fit with talk therapy or medication
-
Families interested in exploring a body-centered, holistic approach
Dual Support = Deeper Change
Bi weekly sessions with parents encouraged
